These are a few pieces i did in New Hampshire at Eric Goodwin's mall stand. We went crazy on everyone who sat down and it was awesome, a lot of fun. Everyone was cool and really enjoyed their drawings very much. Probably the greatest caricature con ever. St Pete was awesome and to top it off there was a amazing Dali Museum right around the corner. My wall was different this year, as always i try and do something different to open up knew ways of drawing. Im still trien to find myself as an artist. I really wanted to focus on better technique, presentation, and story telling through my works. I feel that i still have a lot to learn. I got 8th place overall in the best caricaturist category. It was a lot of fun but now back to BEASTED. I have much to do and its getting to be really exciting to see this book come to life.

I did this for Caricaturama Showdown 3000!. It is a warm up for the Isca con in Florida. I was goin for a sick, drugged look while keeping his energy of his love for boxing. I tried to capture his character but not a hundred % sure i did. Hope the close up helps

Shes all smiles and giggles and he is grumpy and grumpy-err, but yet very cool people. Then the drawing is shown.....Still cool people? He laughs and loves, she says hell no, i hate that, he made me look like a turtle and it looks nothing like me....she storms off....He loves it and he has the wallet. What i call half a reject paid in full.

This was a commission for a friend( Shea) the "Seedless" owner/creator. So he had me draw a tame park sketch of Kyle and his family. I went pretty tame and stiiiiiiiill some how i manage to make him real unhappy. Lol, i heard he sent a pic to Shea flickin him off and told him to draw that. Shea liked it anyway and bought it but i felt bad that he bought it for nothing. This is what i(we) call a freeject. The twins are happy.

So, Kamans art shoppes is trying something really cool out to satisfy the enjoyment of the more exaggerated caricatures in a theme park. I think it was Chris Chua and Brad Baley who pitched the idea. Anyway you have to be a certified extreme caricaturist to sell for more money than a regular park sketch. By the way this is Leanne(body artist). As you can see, the regular sketch is on top and the crazy(more exaggerated(more exciting awesomeness;)) is on the bottom. I went off a photo of her for the regular and i feel i got the photo likeness but missed the real feel of her. The crazy one i did mostly from my head and i feel her a lot in that one. So, just thought i would share, enjoy your surf. By the way the top was done in 5 minutes and the crazy one was done in 15ish minutes.

Had a lot of fun with this one, the black and white drawing came right out, but the more exaggerated/colored took a few tries and really happy with the outcome. Always a task to draw from pictures, most caricature artist im sure know that. Anyways, hope you like it Lee

Tried out corel painter for the first time. I wanted to try to make something realistic with some kinda twist to reality, though im happy with the out come, im not a fan of copying but it has helped me understand a lot about detail. Just a fun little project. Can't wait to do some caricaturing like this, even though painting for me is much more fun.

Got me an award for funniest at the Cripple Convention 3! These hand made awards are so awesome an creative. If you've never heard of this Convention, Its every year in the middle of January, where anything goes( Open minded only) because if you get offended you might cry or kill someone;)haha. No, this con is a way to invite all art and artist with all creativity and ofcourse those who only like to be silly and draw goofy things that would make most girls cover there mouths or put things in.....um anyways know that any art with a reaction (bad or good) is AWESOME!, whether its writing, music, drawing, or a simple free style cypher. I love all art and artist, just don't understand the hate that some people have against IT. The reason I'm rambling is cause i would love if everyone offended would just give in and admit to their problems an LIVE. Art is only personal to the artist, not against others(My opinion).

Like alot of fellow caricature artist who see a awesome body posture, great face person walk around you tend to wanna get that jesture down on paper right away and see what happens. This guy i only saw for about 10 seconds and tried to remember everything about him. His kid was runnin away yet he looked determined to get some beer. He was bowy and had no shoulders but then had these huge popeye arms and a fun walk. Dan Hay does this alot as well as Philby and Oakes. It really helps loosin me up and helps my quick decisions. Good exercise.

this day was a slow weird day in the park and i really didnt feel like exaggerating to much but when someone with an ora above their head that says we have a good since of humor, you better jack us up or else, then the little voice in my head tells me whats up. life drawing for me has really opened up so many ways of approach. Not saying that drawing nude models is the only way but to be able to see all structure in front of you with a table and three hours of time to create many endless approaches to drawing, painting, exc, of the figure or whatever object is in front of you. Sure its good to focus on one way of approach to be " flawless" but as an artist to me means being able to branch out an learn all approach you can cause you never know what your truley good at or what you like to do most, even something hard and challenging could be the one thing that your best at.

I've been attending life drawing lately and thought i would try something different. It's nice to get away from exaggeration sometimes to figure out different ways of approach. I used artstick for for the quick 1 to 5 minute sketches and water color and acrylic for the longer ones. Its a real good lighting exercise. I am still workin hard on some much exaggerated pieces though. Hope you enjoy

I had alotta fun and learned so much. Going to a caricature convention to compete and hang out with friends and awesome amazing artist takes alot of preperation, redbull and markers. Anyway i tried to jack some faces and have a better wall than last year in Reno. I felt way more inspired this year than ever, i must be on some "new". This craziness took me about 8 or 9 hours all together. Philby helped take pictures one by one. I used just plain post its and the camera of a mac book. We also used a video edit program to piece it all together. A lot of fun but very time consuming for only 38 seconds of film.

the one and only reject in the LA fair.
The mother stopped me half way through the black and white part and told me how horrible it was. She said it wasn't real art, i said i was sorry and would draw something different that didnt look like him, then the boy got up with out looking at the drawing and said how much it looked nothing like him. Just goes to show how much control most mothers have on there children's minds, how to think!
